The company MORAGRO, a.s. in Prostějov on harvest 2024 put into trial operation a new terminal for receiving commodities built at the existing concrete silo. The dimensions of the reception hall, the size of the grain pit of 30t and the capacity of the transport routes of 250 t/h move the existing technical base and provide customers with significantly faster check-in. The project follows on from previously implemented projects like replacement of scales for trucks, a mobile sampler and a new laboratory.
Our goal is to build a terminal in central Moravia region – about 200km north of Vienna, whose speed and capacity will bring us closer to the group of best European companies in agricultural sector.
The investments mentioned above will soon be followed by more. The first of the follow-up projects is an extension of an existing solar power plant, which will primarily ensure the power supply for the company.
It is also about redesigning the access and waiting area for arriving trucks.
The third and most extensive project will be the construction of a new combined terminal next to the existing steel silo to process both trucks and trains more quickly. This project includes, among other things, an extensive reconstruction of the existing railway siding and the purchase of a new hybrid, remote-controlled shunter, which wiwll be powered by the expanded adjacent solar power plant. The total goods receiving capacity will ultimately be more than 600 t/h.
You can view the above projects in the visualization attached below.
The preparatory work will begin soon.
